For classic-car fans with a passion for technology

In order to preserve and share practical know-how for the maintenance and repair of classic cars of different ages, Bosch Classic has relaunched a series of technical trainings.

Technology-enthusiastic owners of classic and young classic cars can participate in special training courses on Bosch systems older than 20 years.

To ensure optimum training success, a maximum number of 14 participants are admitted.

  • Duration of the training: 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Training fee: EUR 150.00 incl. VAT

Range of trainings (only in German)

D-Jetronic

Bosch D-Jetronic is an electronically controlled gasoline injection system. Its series production started in 1967. By means of the electronic control unit, the precision of fuel metering can be increased – compared to conventional carburetor engines. This allows compliance with more stringent emission standards.

Training contents

  • Operation and components of the Bosch D-Jetronic
  • Signs of wear, possible failures and their consequences
  • Diagnoses and testing (using test equipment)
  • Adjustments and their effects
  • Practical exercises on components and on cars
  • Differences between Bosch D- and L-Jetronic

  • History of ignition systems (from breaker-triggered coil ignition to map-controlled ignitions)
  • Differences between transistor ignition systems (TZ-h and TZ-i)
  • Signs of wear, possible failures and their consequences
  • Diagnoses and testing (with test equipment and oscilloscope)
  • Adjustments and their effects
  • Practical exercises on components and on cars

Mechanical Bosch gasoline injection

The mechanical fuel injection (MFI) emerged in the 1950s. It increased the engine output and reduced the fuel consumption. It was equipped with sophisticated mechanics

Training contents

  • MFI operation and components
  • Signs of wear, possible failures and their consequences
  • Diagnoses and testing (with test equipment right on the car)
  • Adjustments and their effects (on the car)
  • Practical exercises on components and on cars
